In 2021, Karara Benon identified a gap that was quietly costing Rwanda and the broader African development sector more than most people realised. Talented professionals, researchers, NGO programme officers, civil servants, junior analysts, were making high-stakes decisions without the data skills to make them well. Not because they lacked intelligence or ambition. Because the training that existed was either unaffordable, too theoretical to be useful in
practice, or simply not built for the tools and real-world contexts these professionals worked with every day.
To empower and educate Africans with data analytics, digital skills, and technological understanding, at a quality and affordability that keeps pace with global change and the real demands of the continent's labour market.
To be Africa's most trusted platform for data-driven professional development, contributing directly to Rwanda's knowledge-based economy, and demonstrating that the continent does not need to wait for external expertise to build internal capability.
DATA+ stands out because we train, consult, and build technology at the same time, ensuring what we teach is grounded in real practice and African realities.
