Artificial Intelligence has moved from experimental technology to everyday infrastructure. Across government ministries, NGOs, banks, universities, and private enterprises, AI is reshaping how professionals manage information, produce reports, and make decisions yet most executives have had no structured way to build this fluency. Today’s professionals face heavier workloads, tighter reporting deadlines, and growing volumes of documents and data, often with limited time for deep analysis. This program was built to close that gap: not AI theory, but AI applied to the real work executives and professionals do every day.
Over 5 weeks, participants build a practical toolkit: structured prompt engineering for everyday executive tasks, AI-assisted writing for reports, proposals, and correspondence, and AI-enhanced Excel and Power BI for decision-ready dashboards and reporting. The program also covers meeting transcription, no-code workflow automation, and the ethics and data-protection principles behind responsible AI use. Sessions draw on case studies from African government, NGO, and private-sector contexts, and every participant applies the toolkit directly to their own reports, data, and workplace tasks, before designing an organization-specific AI adoption roadmap as a capstone project in Week 5.
Designed for managers, directors, project and M&E specialists, researchers, policy analysts, and business owners, this program is built for busy professionals, not technical specialists: no prior coding, data science, or advanced Excel/Power BI experience is required. Live sessions run three evenings a week so participants can learn without stepping away from their jobs, with full recordings and materials available afterward on the DATA+ LMS.
Graduates who complete the program receive a Professional Certificate in Applied AI for Executives & Professionals from DATA+ Rwanda, with guided support toward further recognition through international AI certification pathways, including NVIDIA.

The Applied AI for African Executives & Professionals program is designed with a step-by-step learning pathway that builds practical AI capability progressively, from foundational prompting to advanced data analysis, automation, and AI leadership.
Each week combines live facilitator-led
instruction, real-world case studies from African government, NGO, and private-sector contexts, and hands-on practice with participants' own reports, data, and workplace tasks. Structured group discussions, individual assignments, and continuous facilitator feedback ensure participants build both technical fluency and the judgment to apply it responsibly.
Understand generative AI and large language models, compare tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot, and apply the RCTF prompting framework to write structured prompts for real executive tasks such as memos, briefs, and agendas.
Draft sharper reports and proposals, summarize documents quickly, and conduct AI-powered research, while strengthening multilingual communication for African workplace contexts.
Clean and analyze data using AI-enhanced Excel, then build a live Power BI dashboard from a sample organizational dataset to support clear, data-driven decisions.
Automate meeting transcription and summarization, explore no-code workflow automation, and design one automated workflow relevant to your own role and project responsibilities.
Apply responsible and ethical AI principles, understand data protection essentials, and build an organization-specific AI adoption roadmap that you present as your capstone project for certification.
