DATA+ Rwanda has successfully completed a 15-day professional training programme in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, delivered for a delegation of seven executives from Sudan.
Over the past three weeks, the programme brought together practical training, hands-on exercises, and knowledge sharing across some of the most widely used tools and techniques for modern data analysis and professional decision-making.
The training began with Advanced Excel, where participants focused on practical data analysis using Microsoft Excel. The sessions covered tools such as Pivot Tables and other analytical techniques used to organise, analyse, and extract insights from data.
The programme then moved into Power BI, with participants learning how to transform data and build effective visual reports and dashboards. Particular attention was given to Power Query and DAX, helping participants develop practical skills for data preparation, analysis, and visualisation.
From Power BI, the training progressed to Python for Data Analytics. Participants worked on data cleaning and analysis before advancing into Machine Learning with Python and exploring how AI-assisted coding can support modern data workflows.
The final part of the programme focused on Artificial Intelligence in professional work. Participants explored practical AI tools, ways to use AI more effectively in their day-to-day work, and the fundamentals of prompt engineering.
The 15-day programme provided an opportunity to combine technical skills with practical application, giving participants exposure to Excel, Power BI, Python, Machine Learning, and AI within one integrated professional learning programme.
